Hills of Vavan are related to Ashkanian era and they are situated in Vavan town, Islamshahr city. This historical remnant was recorded on Azar 16, 1376 as one of National Remnants of Iran with registration number 1955.
These hills are placed near Vavan town. According to studies, Vavan hills belonged to Cave of Tehran, and gateway of the cave of Tehran has ended in these hills. What was found in these hills is a building with 14 rooms. The form of the rooms show that this structure had been owned to ordinary people and it might be a state or military building. The entrance doors of the rooms open in one direction and these rooms have meant walls and size of them are same. In these hills, a stamp was discovered which it most probably had been used for stamping the packages which were sent to this place. Other things were found there are: stucco remnants and metallic instruments that 95% of these instruments include armaments like arrowhead, sword, and stylet. Discovering these equipment assure that this place was a military building. Also, cupric coins (flus) which remained from Safavi era, were found there.
China ware and white and blue earthenware which were found there, are related to Safavi era. Finding women bangles and utensils of making butter from Al – Buye era has strengthened this guess that some people had lived there on Al – Buye era and they had pastor life.
